The job we do

Keep your building compliant — and prove it.

Every commercial, government and institutional building carries non-discretionary obligations for its essential safety provisions. We deliver the routine maintenance that keeps those systems compliant — and the records that prove it — to the frequencies and acceptance criteria of AS 1851 and MBS 002, with the evidence available to you in real time.

What we maintain

Five disciplines, one contractor, one contract.

Most buildings need several fire systems maintained on different cycles. We cover all of them in-house, with our own local team, so you deal with one accountable provider.

Wet fire systems

Fire hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps and automatic sprinkler systems.

Dry fire systems

Detection and alarm, occupant warning, manual call points and fire indicator panels, including full function interface testing.

Portable equipment

Fire extinguishers and fire blankets.

Exit & emergency lighting

Inspection, testing and certification to AS/NZS 2293.2.

Passive fire protection

Fire and smoke doors, penetrations, fire walls and smoke seals.

Defect rectification

Every defect captured, quoted in writing before work, and closed out with evidence.

Why W&D

Compliance you can evidence, not just claim.

A lean routine price can hide an expensive reactive bill. We make the whole cost visible — and keep it competitive — so you can forecast and defend it.

Certified quality

ISO 9001:2015 certified (Certificate 0246059), with WHS & environmental systems active and aligned to ISO 45001 / 14001, certification in progress.

Built on the standard

Servicing follows the published frequency, tolerance and acceptance criteria of AS 1851 — controlled by formal procedures, not left to memory.

Digitally accountable

Every service, defect and certificate captured in FieldInsight, with a live client portal — you see your asset register, history and schedule without asking.

Verified register from day one

Every contract starts with a commencement due-diligence audit that builds a verified, building-by-building register at no extra charge.

Total-cost transparency

Fixed, transparent reactive labour and parts rates set in your contract, with every defect quoted in writing before we lift a tool.

Genuinely local

A named account manager and dedicated supervisor based here, plus 24/7 emergency call-out.

FAQ

Fire compliance, answered.

Common questions from building owners, facility managers and councils across South Australia.

How often do fire safety systems need to be maintained in South Australia?

Essential safety provisions must be inspected and tested at the frequencies set out in AS 1851 and Ministerial Building Standard 002 — anywhere from monthly to annually depending on the system. We build a schedule that captures every asset at its required frequency and keeps the records to prove it.

What does routine fire maintenance actually cover?

It spans every fire and life-safety system in your building: wet fire (hydrants, hose reels, pumps and sprinklers), dry fire (detection, alarms, occupant warning and fire indicator panels), portable equipment, exit and emergency lighting, and passive fire protection. We maintain all of them in-house.

Can one contractor maintain all of my fire systems?

Yes. We self-perform every discipline with our own local team, so you deal with one accountable provider and one contract instead of coordinating several specialists.

Do you handle multi-site building portfolios?

Absolutely — it's a core strength. We maintain more than 500 sites across South Australia for local government, defence and commercial clients, with a single point of contact and consolidated digital reporting across the whole portfolio.

What happens when you find a defect?

Every defect is captured digitally, quoted to you in writing before any work proceeds, and closed out with evidence. Reactive labour and parts rates are fixed and transparent in your contract, so there are no surprises.

Are you licensed and accredited?

We hold a South Australian plumbing & electrical contractors licence (CBS PGE 359331) and an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system. Our WHS and environmental systems are active and aligned to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, with certification in progress, and we are a member of the National Fire Industry Association (NFIA).

Do you offer emergency call-out?

Yes — we provide 24/7 emergency call-out to our maintenance clients across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia.
